Are you a detail oriented, analytical minded individual that likes to be part of a winning team?

This role contributes to Basic American Foods success by supporting the execution of purchase orders and transactions for the flow of goods and services critical to its business partners.  Works with supply chain partners to maintain data integrity and system information. 

Responsibilities

  1. Develop, track, and evaluate procurement metrics including areas of spend analytics, procure-to-pay process, operational efficiencies, and supplier performance to drive procurement strategy development and implementation. Responsible for input into supplier data base and scorecard. Executes and makes recommendations on supplier key performance indicators.
  2. Strive to continuously improve procurement performance by utilizing and understanding best practices, lessons learned and industry trends. Measure and implement best practices for procure-to-pay and maintaining Procurement databases, as well as the corporate contract database and supplier Safe Quality Foods (SQF) database to ensure accurate and complete information.
  3. Provide expertise in process and systems to streamline procurement processes, including process with suppliers; contribute to the development and implementation of enterprise-wide procurement processes and systems including documentation; optimize procure-to-pay processes and information systems based upon business needs, performance, and strategic objectives. Serves as primary contact for supplier issues.
  4. Coordinating report requirements, input and validation of data for management and team members. Manages corrective action requests related to supplier performance and/or quality.
  5. Effectively and independently coordinate multiple projects and deadlines. Ensure seamless delivery of goods or services. Troubleshoot order fulfillment issues. 
  6. Operates within peer group and leadership infrastructure to ensure that top quality data and recommendations are developed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree 2 years analytical, planning, procurement, supply chain or other relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Highly competent with Microsoft Office Suite
