The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager will assist in all key financial planning processes, including budget development, forecasting and long-term planning. This role will assist in performing complex financial analyses driving key insights that assist in making critical business decisions along with monitoring and optimizing financial performance. The FP&A Manager provides a full range of finance support for the Retail business.


  1. Drives the annual strategic planning and budget process for the retail consumer business units. Actively partners with Sales and Marketing management to develop operating plans and make strategic recommendations for optimizing performance.
  2. Manages and monitors performance against business and financial plans, ensuring that market operating infrastructure, processes, and tools are in place to achieve financial targets. Develops monthly forecast updates based on performance assessment and input from management team. Consolidates financial data and reports results on a monthly and annual basis. 
  3. Provides comprehensive variance analysis, highlighting trends and assessing results. Tracks risks and opportunities and develops recommendations to mitigate risks and/or capitalize on opportunities.
  4. Supports market business decisions with detailed financial models incorporating assumptions, expectations and known risks. Identifies business improvement opportunities leading to higher revenue, increased efficiencies, or cost savings.  Develops insightful recommendations for forward financial planning and presents business cases to senior management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 10 years of finance or financial planning and analysis experience
  • Experience developing frameworks and solutions to high-level questions, concepts and new product development with limited supervision
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills - comfortable with direct and open dialogue.
  • Able to execute aspects of financial close (accruals, reclasses, etc.), forecasting, and budgeting
  • Compare actual results to historical results, budgets, and forecasts; prepare and report insightful variance analyses to identify any risks or opportunities associated and use data to influence business partners
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modeling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possesses a creative, yet analytical mind with a problem-solving orientation
  • Results driven and strongly believes in accountability for self and others.
  • Strong Excel modeling skills and ability to effectively create presentations in PowerPoint is required. Knowledge of Hyperion, Essbase or similar financial planning tools is preferred.
