Summary

The incumbent will assess, determine and recommend organizational development and learning needs in both
manufacturing and corporate environments. Develop plans and processes to create and implement solutions to address
learning and development requirements. Additionally, will deliver and manage learning and development
activities and implementations. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1.  Identifies leadership development needs and implements appropriate learning and development programs;
establishes a company-wide mentoring and coaching program to ensure the development of future leadership. 
Provides internal consulting to individuals and departments on learning and development opportunities that will enhance performance.

2.  Develops and implements programs, processes, and strategies that enable managers to evaluate, plan, develop, and improve their human and organizational resources to optimize their contribution to the company.

3.  Develops and executes innovative strategies and processes to ensure the organization has the necessary skills and competencies to meet company business plans. Designs, identifies, delivers, coordinates, and evaluates seminars, workshops, courses, and training curricula based on the needs of the individual and the organization.

4. Manage the talent management and succession planning processes to ensure leaders are identified and developed for future opportunities.  Develop needs analysis to identify skills/competency gaps and establishes measures to track progress.

5.  Establishes and coordinates an organization-wide approach to learning and development.

Must maintain the highest standards of ethics and integrity while embodying the tenets of "What We Stand For" and "The Basic Principles."

Must maintain the highest standards of data management by creating consistent, reliable data which will ensure accuracy and in turn, maximize the use of data and confidence in decision making.

Supervisory Responsibilities                                                

Directly supervises employees in the Human Resources Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and
resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience                                              

Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development or related field, Master's degree preferred and six to ten years of relevant experience.

Language Skills                                            

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills                                                  

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical
situations.

Reasoning Ability                                                     

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw validconclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Other Qualifications                                                

Travel 20-30% of the time.
